Dr Filip Stillaert, PhD, FCCP, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon affiliated with the University Hospital in Ghent, Belgium, gives a thoughtful and well-presented slide show that includes case studies on the lumbar flap in breast reconstruction. 

Abdominal tissue is not always used for DIEP flap surgery. Dr. Stillaert describes the use of the "love handle" area of the back to recreate and reconstruct the breast for those facing breast cancer.
