Interesting article in the latest issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal - a review by Eltahir et al on meta-analysis of the quality of life of alloplastic versus autologous breast reconstruction, when measured with the BREAST-Q.

The aim of this review was to evaluate which breast reconstruction technique gives the best improvement in individual quality of life and achieve satisfaction as measured with a patient-reported outcome. To that end, we reviewed and meta-analyzed the literature to assess the patient-reported outcome measures of alloplastic versus autologous postmastectomy breast reconstruction as measured by the BREAST-Q.
